Gilbert “Gib” Papazian II, President of the Firm

A produce veteran of 40 years, Gib is responsible for grower relations, interstate marketing operations, and Canadian exports. You can reach Gib at 650-245-5413.

Tom Cook, National Sales Manager

Tom arrived at Lucky Strike in 1988, bringing 10 years of expertise as a produce director for an upscale Bay Area retailer. He is the longest-tenured member of the team and oversees all facets of company operations. Contact him at 408-921-6910.

Monica Catalan

Monica joined the team in 2004 as a 20-year veteran of the logistics and freight industry. She now heads up intrastate transportation, where she designs and oversees our consolidation and distribution network. Call her at 650-488-8066.

Lee Pitta

Lee arrived in 2011 after 35 years in retail, with responsibilities ranging from regional management to chain-wide volume purchasing. His current tasks include directing overseas exports, ad pricing, organic sales, and marketing. You can speak to him at 650-477-8383.

Mike Hoppy Hopkins

Mike moved to Lucky Strike in 1992 after a lengthy stint managing sales for a leading commodity shipper. He currently heads up the Central Valley office. Although his previous experience is lost in antiquity, carbon dating suggests his entrance into the produce business predates the introduction of iceberg lettuce. He can be reached at 209-283-0915.

Grace Garcia, Chief Controller

Grace joined us in 2001 after 35 years in the collections industry. She is responsible for all day-to-day accounting functions while doubling as Chief Controller. Grace is available at 650-877-8333.

Taryn Ortiz, Assistant Controller

Taryn was hired as a part-time intern in 2004 but quickly took over the invoicing and organizational functions in the accounting office. She now oversees all reconciliation and payables to our family of growers. Talk to Taryn at 650-877-8333.

The Wave Project is a farm created to help those with special needs the skills and opportunity to gain independence and work together. The farm is fully staffed with people living with all types of mental disabilities; we pride our self on making sure everyone has the opportunity to succeed.
